Delores Evelyn Pollock, 74, of Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009.
She was born in Summershade, Ky. on Jan. 18, 1935 to the late Acie and Viola Wood Birge. She retired from Balkamp Corporation after 20 years of service.
Mrs. Pollock is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Russell Pollock; two sons, John Pollock of Camby and Dan Pollock and wife Paula of Markleville; daughters, Kathryn Higham and husband Rick of Indianapolis and Janet Carlton of Avon; sisters, Helen O'Brien and husband Joe of Grant Park, Ill., Shirley Ritter and husband Tom of Danville, Ill., Sandra Knight of Rockville and Jacqui Poor and husband Bill of Urbana, Ill.; brother Wayne Birge and wife Margie of Danville, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 1328 W. 86th St., Indianapolis on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m., with a memorial service at 2 p.m., officiated by Pastor J. Daschner.
