SPJH wrestling gets win

The South Putnam Junior High wrestling team went against North Clay recently, winning 70-33.

Winning by fall was Marcus Skinner (125), Rhaine Cluggish (135), Rudy Harris (145) and Tanner Thompson (165). Wrestlers capturing wins by decision were Collin Berry (80), Klayton Vittetow (85), J.T. Franklin (90), Zane Crosby (95), Sam Sloan (140) and Ryan Chestnut (180).

Four members won by forfeit and they were Nick Owen (75), Joe Waters (100), Evan Potts (105) and Trevor Peirsall (110). Anthony Hendricks (90) and Lane Hacker (155) won exhibition matches.

The Eagles will be back in action Thursday at North Putnam beginning at 5:30 p.m.
