Phillip Ray Shuck

Phillip Ray Shuck, 83, of Greencastle died on Tuesday March 10, 2009.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1925 in Fillmore to Thomas and Ruth Irene Lawson Shuck.

Mr. Shuck served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion, and retired from Lonestar Industries with 40 years of service in April of 1989. He was also associated with Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Audrey Joann Shuck; sons, Jerry Shuck and wife Sharon of Avon, Richard Shuck and wife Teddy of Greencastle and Edward Shuck and wife Lori of Greencastle; two sisters, Dorothy Veach of Bainbridge and Melba Hanlon of Plainfield; five grandchildren, Chris Shuck, Jenny Shuck, Amanda Shuck, Lindsay Fisher, and Sydni Fisher; two great-grandchildren, Connor Richard Shuck and Landon Wagner; nephew Tom Hanlon and wife Judy of Plainfield; and niece Elizabeth Buche and husband Tim of Plainfield.

His parents and a sister, Evelyn Spencer preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be private at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery with military honors.
