Marjorie M. Grimes

Marjorie M. Grimes, 83, of Greencastle died on Friday, March 13, 2009.

She was born on May 20, 1925 in Putnam County to Herbert Blue and Emma Young Blue.

Mrs. Grimes was a nurse's aid for several years at Asbury Towers, retiring in 1987.

Surviving are a daughter, Darlene Russell and husband Bobby of Belle Union; a son, Rex Wood and wife Brenda of Greencastle; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Her parents; husband, Frank W. Grimes; a daughter, Sharon Pingleton; a son, Raymond Wood; four sisters, Margaret Buis, Beaula Butler, Lois Wilson and Thelma Acord; two brothers, Glen Blue and Gene Blue; and two infant granddaughters preceded her in death.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Brice LeBlanc officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
