Council approves additional appropriations

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

Putnam County Council approved appropriations for the highway and welfare departments during its meeting Tuesday.

The highway department asked to have $85,000 moved for the replacement of a bridge. Restoration of Bridge 257, located in Russell Township on CR 775W, will be finished soon, weather permitting.

To finish out the 2008 year, the Welfare department requested three appropriations. Council members unanimously approved the request.

On the agenda was the Putnam County Sheriff's Department, which did not make an appearance.

The County Council meets regularly at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month in the Courthouse Annex.
