Putnam County Sheriff's Dept.

Osha Chitwood, Russellville, was exiting the parking lot of North Putnam High School at 3:24 p.m. Monday when she attempted a turn onto CR. 250E. Chitwood did not see a vehicle driven by Dakoda White, Coatesville, traveling north on CR 250E and the two vehicles collided. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Harold Doane, Greencastle, was traveling east on CR 350N at 2:35 a.m. Friday when his vehicle left the roadway, traveled approximately 30 yards before striking a telephone pole. Officers found the vehicle on its top and Doane missing from the scene. He was later located half of a mile from the accident. Doane was arrested for operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and public intoxication. Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was approximately $5,000 to $10,000 in damages.

Darr Boruff, Russellville, was traveling north on U.S. 231 at 7:10 a.m. Sunday when he fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle traveled off the road, hit a power pole, which snapped in half and traveled an additional 50 feet through a cornfield before coming to a stop. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed from the scene.

William Salts, Wingate, was traveling south on U.S. 231 at 9:47 a.m. Thursday when he attempted a left turn onto U.S. 36 while hauling a farm disc implement used on farm equipment. The 15-foot folded up piece of farm equipment struck the bottom of automatic signal and broke it. Salts was unaware the light had been struck and continued east on U.S. 36 before being stopped by Bainbridge Town Marshal. Indiana Department Of Transportation personnel assisted with traffic while light was repaired. There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Theresa Ladd, 30, Bloomington, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 4:25 p.m. Friday for possession of marijuana and trafficking with an inmate.

Shantelle Moore, 40, Cloverdale, was booked in at 4:05 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication, operating while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with blood alcohol content of .15 or more.

Troy Childers, 34, Roachdale, was booked at 4:31 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator.

Jon Nakaishi, 19, Terre Haute, was booked at 9:53 p.m. Saturday for possessing alcohol as a minor and public intoxication.

David Washbaugh, 41, Roachdale, was booked at 11:42 p.m. Saturday for operating per se, public intoxication and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Ben Hicks, 28, Indianapolis, was booked at 12:12 a.m. Sunday for operating while suspended or revoked with prior infraction violation, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Nicolas Owens, 18, Bainbridge, was booked at 3:59 a.m. Sunday for possessing alcohol as a minor.

Alysha Bettis, 18, Cloverdale, was booked at 4:23 a.m. Sunday for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and paraphernalia.

Ramiro Amado, 24, St. Louis, Mo., was booked at 2:52 a.m. Monday for conspiracy and dealing in cocaine.

Rafael Estrada, 35, Edwardsville, Ill., was booked at 3:46 a.m. Monday for dealing in cocaine and conspiracy.

Richard Waggoner, 24, Coatesville, was booked at 10:15 a.m. Monday for probation violation.

Jim Davis, 18, Russellville, was booked at 11:53 a.m. Monday for theft and false reporting or informing.

Shakeya Webb, 20, Indianapolis, was booked at 5:30 p.m. Monday for dealing in schedule I, II or III substance, trafficking with an inmate and identity deception.

Fount Brock, 28, Roachdale, was booked at 11:19 p.m. Monday for battery, intimidation, disorderly conduct, probation violation and criminal recklessness.

Greencastle Fire Dept.

The Greencastle Fire Department has made several runs recently.

Crews were dispatched to 1601 Hospital Drive at 4:49 p.m. Friday, but were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 4:51 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to North Jackson Street, near the Monon Restaurant, at 2:19 p.m. Saturday for a car accident resulting in property damage. They were disregarded before leaving the station and were back in service immediately.

Crews were dispatched to 309 Medic Way at 3:51 p.m. Saturday for a smoke alarm. After investigation, nothing was found and the alarm was reset. They were back in service at 4:16 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to E. Seminary Street at 4:33 p.m. Saturday for a two-car accident with property damage. They assisted with the clean up of fluid at the scene and were back in service at 5:15 p.m. No injuries were reported the vehicle crash.

Crews were dispatched to 1014 Mill Pond Lane at 8:05 p.m. Saturday for a smoke detector activation during a lightening storm. No fire was found, but the alarm panel was damaged. They were back in service at 9:27 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1901 E. SR 240 at 9:22 a.m. Monday for a medical assist. They were disregarded in route and back in service at 9:31 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 403 Elm St. at 2:07 am. Monday for a lift assist. They were back in service at 2:20 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 105 N. College St., at 2:36 a.m. Tuesday to assist Operation Life with a lift. They were back in service at 2:46 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to the corner of Ridgeway and Center streets at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday for an unauthorized burn. Occupants put the fire out. They were back in service at 1:51 p.m.
