Chamber of Commerce scramble set for May 8

Sponsors for the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce 19th Annual Golf Scramble are North Salem State Bank, Ivy Tech Community College, Old National Bank, Taylor-Made Awards and York Pontiac, Olds and GMC Truck and York Chrysler Dodge Jeep. Posing behind their sponsorship signs are Michael Clampitt, Sharon Bone, Beth Flint, LT Taylor and Tammy Amor, executive director of the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce.

Get your putters ready. The Greencastle Chamber of Commerce 19th Annual Golf Scramble is set for Friday, May 8. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. with registration and lunch at Old Hickory Golf Club and a shotgun start at 12 p.m.

The Chamber Business After Hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. following the golf outing.

The York Automotive Family in Greencastle, Brazil and Crawfordsville is the sponsor for registration and lunch and Old National Bank is sponsoring Business After Hours. North Salem Bank is sponsoring a $10,000 cash prize on hole number nine, and State Representative Nancy Michael is offering $100 for the longest putt.

Taylor-Made Awards is sponsoring the trophies and prizes to top three teams plus two free drinks per golfer. Ivy Tech Community College is providing afternoon snacks.

Sponsorship fees are $100 for a hole and include a professional sign. It is only $50 if you already have a sign. A scoreboard sponsor fee is $100 and a skilled hole sponsor fee is $30.

Four person teams can sign up for $55 per person for the 18-hole scramble. That includes golf, a cart and lunch.

Registration forms are available from the Chamber of Commerce at 16 S. Jackson St. Forms must be returned to the Chamber by May 5.
