Coldwell Banker celebrates grand re-opening

Clay Jones and Wanda Elkins are familiar faces around Putnam County. Elkins has worked at the real estate office since 1991 and is the Principal Broker at Coldwell Banker.

Jones recently purchased the Coldwell Banker Putnam Real Estate Center from Charlie Cooper. He splits his time between Houston, Texas and seven other locations where he owns Electrical Supply Companies.

The real estate office just celebrated a grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting and afternoon open house.

"We are looking for ways to be more supportive of the community. We sell a lot of real estate and want to give back to the community," said Elkins.

Known for their dedicated, friendly and knowledgeable agents who have a combined 150 years of experience in real estate, there are 12 agents at the company.

"We focus on bringing customers together with the home of their dreams," said Elkins, who has been a multi-million dollar producer since 1993.

In 2006, Elkins and fellow agent Peggy Miller combined forces to create "Putnam's Preferred Team." In 2007 and 2008, the two earned the International President's Elite Team award.

In 2008, Elkins took over as Principal Broker of Coldwell Banker. She specializes in residential, farm, land and commercial sales.

She has lived in Putnam County since 1969 and has four children and 10 grandchildren. Her son Jason Ingelert and his wife Tiffany both work for the real estate office.

Miller has lived in Putnam County and the Greencastle area all of her life. She has been a realtor for 28 years and has 25 years of management experience. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as being a member of Coldwell Banker's International President's circle, and a multi-million dollar producer.
