LIZTON -- Greencastle's boys' golf team scored its second win in as many days, defeating the Bruins of Tri-West 154-163.

The Tiger Cubs had three golfers score sub-40 en route to their win.

Wade Huber was medalist on the day with a 37 to lead Greencastle, followed by Luke Crimmins with a 38 and Brad Haussin with a 39. Jimmy Wheeler carded a 40 for the Tiger Cubs to round out the GHS scoring.

"We do still have a lot of work to do, and everyone on the team has a long way to go before we reach the competitive level that I feel we should be," GHS head coach Donovan Wheeler said. "However, I'm very pleased with the way these guys have balanced each other out thus far this season.

"Wade and Luke have produced a terrific one-two opening salvo this week, and Brad and Jimmy have been productive even though both have played well below what we expect out of them," he said.

The GHS junior varsity team edged Tri-West 200-201 to pick up the win.

Raymond Stenson scored a 47, with Marcus Benassi following with a 49. Also for Greencastle, Dakota Miller had a 51, Adam Jayne a 53, J.T. Hennette a 55 and Trevor Huber a 62 in the win.

Wheeler remarked that this was the first time his top four were clicking and he liked the results.

"It took us longer than I thought it would to break 160, but we did it, and I'm proud of these boys," Wheeler commented.

With the win, Greencastle moves its record in 31-7 overall.

On Monday, Greencastle defeated Terre Haute South 160-166.

Crimmins led the Tiger Cubs with a medalist-worthy 37, followed by Huber with a 38. Haussin carded a 41, with Wheeler with a 44, Hopkins a 46 and Jayne a 52.

In junior varsity action, Greencastle fell to Terre Haute South 173-201.
