Owned by Todd Oney and Melanie Fackler the new office is open at 204 N. Vine Street on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome but it is best to call for an appointment.

Hearing Specialists Alisa and Bill Calhoun are longtime Greencastle residents and two of only 40 board-certified professionals in the state.

"We have another office in Crawfordsville but wanted to be here in Greencastle where we live," said Alisa.

The couple are longtime residents of Greencastle. In fact they live on the same farm that Alisa grew up on just outside Greencastle.

"We deal with anything to do with the ears," said Alisa. "We are certified in crumen (wax) removal, service and repair all models of hearing devices and have batteries and supplies including ear plugs," she noted.

"Changes in your hearing happen gradually and as the sounds of life face, so does the richness of life," explained Alisa.

Sonus has a unique approach to helping reconnect people with hearing issues to the world they have always known.

By combining well-trained professionals with the latest equipment and technology they can provide the best solution for each individual.

Statistics show that Baby Boomers are experiencing a greater hearing loss than those who are age 65 and older.

Over the past 20 years, hearing loss in people ages 18 to 45 has increased by more than 26 percent. By the time baby boomers reach 65, more than 40 percent will have a hearing loss that should be treated.

Sonus has five other offices in addition to their new Greencastle office and the Crawfordsville office.
