Cougars outlasts Riverton Parke

MONTEZUMA -- It only took 14 innings, but North Putnam defeated Riverton Parke 2-0, Tuesday.

In the top of the 14rth frame, Taylor Judy led off with a double and was plated by Lea Crosby. Then later Dakota Malayer knocked in Mackensy Asbell for the final run.

Judy went the distance, striking out 19 batters while allowing only seven hits and two walks.

Asbell led the offense with three hits, while Crosby and Malayer had two hits each.

The Cougars also defeated Rockville 1-0 Monday.

Lauren Green smacked a lead-off home run in the third inning to lift the Cougars to victory. She also had a single as did teammate Dakota Malayer.

North Putnam is back in action on Monday when they take on Cloverdale in the game four of the Tri-West Sectional at 4 p.m.
