Store manager of Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in Avon, John Sorg, left front, and Jim Teer, commercial sales with Lowe's, right, presented Area 30 Career Center with a Kobalt Tool Kit Thursday. Don Watson, Area 30 building trades instructor, accepted the tools on behalf of the school. Lowe's partnered with SkillsUSA to deliver Kobalt tools to students through its Tough Tools for Cool Schools program. It will put Kobalt tools into the hands of more than 8,000 students in their working and learning environments to help prepare them to become the next generation of tradesmen. Area 30 students will use the tool kit to build houses and other community projects. The kit included five 16-ounce claw hammers; five utility knives; five 16-inch tape measures; five 6-in-1 screwdrivers; five 15-inch handsaws; five three-piece adjustable wrenches; five 12-inch adjustable wrenches; five 5-piece plier stets; five universal speed fit chucks and one rolling tool chest.
