Youth invited to express themselves at library

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

The Putnam County Public Library will host an "Artist Studio" each Friday at 3:30 p.m. throughout June and July for young adults ages 12 to 18. Local artists will talk about their work and show teens how to express themselves to create similar art.

The first artist studio will feature music and is scheduled for this Friday, when Director Anne Reynolds and the DePauw Woodwind Ensemble will perform in the Kiwanis Room.

Future programs will include a jewelry making studio, water and acrylic painting--and more. Check with the children's librarian before attending each session to find out what material (if any) is needed.

Information about upcoming studios can be found on the library's Web page at www.putnam.lib.in.us, by calling 653-2755, ext. 121, or stopping by the library.
