Letter to the Editor

Peace Lutheran School was great for a child

Friday, June 5, 2009

Dear Editor:

We would like to take this time to personally thank Mrs. Hoffmann and the wonderful, loving staff at Peace Lutheran School. For the past seven years, our son Alex has attended Peace. He started there in kindergarten and graduated from the sixth grade this year. We can't think of a better place we would have wanted him to be learning and growing in these most precious and important years of his life.

So much credit goes to Mrs. Hoffmann, who has put her life and ministry into this school, to make it what it is today. She has loved our son like her own, has taught him, and has helped mold him into the wonderful young man he is becoming. She will be missed terribly, but Alex has already said he wants to visit regularly.

Alexander loves this school, the teachers, the other children, and the opportunity that he has had to worship, pray and share the love of Christ with everyone there. Not only has he grown spiritually, but also academically. With the small classes, he and all the others have not been forgotten, or left behind. There are so many volunteers from DePauw as well as time with the teachers, which unfortunately is not always received in many classrooms.

We encourage everyone with young children (Preschool through 6th grade) to visit Peace. You won't be disappointed. We weren't.

Thank you Peace Lutheran School,

Keko and Lori Briones
