Andy O'Hair, 92, of Avon and formerly of Mooresville, died June 10, 2009.

Andy was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Putnam County to the late Marion Jasper and Mae (Keyt) O'Hair.

Andy graduated from Clinton Center High School and attended Indiana Normal College. He taught school at Clinton Center High School and later in a one-room school house in Fern.

Andy became employed as a route man for Maplehurst Dairy and later became their personnel director. In 1955 he started Wilair Frozen Food Routes with his business partner Mark Williams.

Andy was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Mooresville. He was an avid bowler, bowling up until this year in the Mooresville Senior League.

Andy was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie (Whitaker) O'Hair; son, Stanley Andrew O'Hair; brothers, Robert J. and Dwight L. O'Hair; son-in-law, Tom Bernier.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Magenheimer O'Hair, they were united in marriage June 13, 1993; daughters, Linda Elkins (Fred) of Plainfield, Sharon Gibbons of Georgia, Deanna Bernier of Florida, Jo Ellen Kimmel of Martinsville; brothers, Gale O'Hair (Mary) of Greencastle, Max O'Hair (Sandra) of Greencastle; sisters, Elva Porter of Bainbridge, Mary Lou Jarrett (Harold) of Greenfield; stepsons, Joe Rooney (Lou Ann) of Stilesville, John Schultz (Julie) of Coal City, Charles William Schultz of Mooresville; stepdaughter, Susan Oliver (Ron) of Indianapolis; a number of grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather June 12, 2009, 4 to 8 p.m. at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 13, 2009, 11 a.m., in the First Christian Church, 525 N. Indiana St., Mooresville.

Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
