Putnam County Sheriff's Office

There was a minor car accident Sunday that sparked some controversy between two drivers. At 9:37 p.m., Matthew Jackson of Monrovia and David Roose of Reelsville were traveling north on CR 300W, when Roose struck the back of Jackson's vehicle.

Roose stated in the accident report, Jackson hit his brakes. But Jackson said he did not hit his brakes and Roose "rammed him."

There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Merle Hickman of Kingman and Richard Swain of Mooresville were stopped facing east at the light at US 36 and US 231 at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday. Joel Day of Crawfordsville was approaching the light traveling south, when he attempted to stop for the red light. Day's vehicle hydroplaned and struck Hickman and Swain's vehicles.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Curtis Cash, 39, Bainbridge, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday for theft, trespassing and conversion.

Judy Gary, 51, Tarpon Springs, Fla., was booked at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday for trafficking with an inmate and possession of marijuana.

John Inman, 38, Greencastle, was booked at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday for battery.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to Montgomery Hall, 420 Anderson St., at 1:58 p.m. Tuesday for a fire alarm. They were back in service at 2:19 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 807 College St., at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday for a fire alarm. There was nothing found and they were back in service at 10:59 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Heartland Automotive, 807 S. Warren St., at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday for a fire alarm. It was a false alarm. They were back in service at 2:39 p.m.
