Fair passes now available

The 2009 Putnam County fair passes provided by Endeavor Communications are available. Endeavor Communications is the official Sponsor of the 2009 Putnam County Fair.

The 2009 passes are printed on special paper that will help prevent copying. Passes will be available at Endeavor Communications office in Cloverdale as well as the Putnam County Extension Office.

The 2009 passes are also available at all Putnam County bank locations. As in the past, First National Bank, First Financial Bank, National City Bank, North Salem State Bank, Old National Bank, Owen Community Bank and Tri-County Bank have agreed to sell the passes. The Fair Board set the cost of this year's passes at $8 for presale weekly passes (presale passes will be sold until noon on July 12), $10 for a weekly pass at the gate, $5 for a daily pass and $1 for a walk-in.

The Fair Board also heard that Fair events will begin in two weeks with the Queen Contest on July 11, the annual talent show on July 12 and the Fair Parade on July 17.

The Putnam County Extension office reported that there are over 900 Putnam County Youth involved in exhibiting their projects for this year's Fair.
