Wanda J. Grimes

Wanda J. Grimes, 78, of Greencastle died Monday, June 29, 2009.

She was born on Aug. 27, 1930 in Greencastle to Eddie and Rachel Albin Buis.

A graduate of Greencastle High School, Mrs. Grimes retired from Mallory Company and was a long time member of Greencastle Christian Church and Windy Hill Country Club.

Surviving are her children Randy Grimes and wife Judi of Chicago, Sandy Smith and husband Greg of Plainfield, Sheree Custis and husband Jack of Greencastle and Teresa Bruce and husband Joe of Indianapolis; two brothers, Howard Buis and wife Celia of Noblesville and Russell Buis and wife Alberta of Plainfield; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her parents and husband Lloyd Grimes preceded her in death.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, 4 Percy L. Julian Drive, with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Calling will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Friday.
