Carol Graves

Carol K. Sutton Graves, 69, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 in Carson City, NV.

She was born Dec. 26, 1939 in Brazil to Clayton Sutton and Mary E. Seymour Sutton. She was married on Nov. 16, 1958 to Robert D. Graves.

She is survived by four children, Christopher Graves, Edith Dowers, Robert Graves and Patricia Stanfield; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, John Sutton; sisters Barbara Ashworth and Wilma Phipps; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Gary "Butch" D. Sutton.

She was a great mother, wife, sister and a mentor who would give away part of her last bit of food for another hungry person.

The viewing will be held at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga from 1to 3 p.m. on Friday. Graveside services will be held at Clinton Falls Cemetery 4 p.m. Friday.
