Azelie R. Stuckey, 86, of Cloverdale died on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Asbury Towers in Greencastle.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1923 in El Paso, Texas and was the daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Ella Chase O'Donnell Roberts.

Mrs. Stuckey was a homemaker, a founding member of the St. Jude Catholic Church in Spencer, graduate of University of Texas at El Paso, member of Chi Omega Sorority and had been employed at the Cloverdale Nursing Home and Cloverdale Dairy Queen.

She is survived by her children, Anita M. Nicholson and husband Bill of Greencastle, Deborah J. Lambert and husband Richard of Cloverdale, Robert William Stuckey and wife Linda of Greencastle and David Arthur Stuckey and wife Lisa of Cloverdale; grandchildren Cathryn Ann Van Matre and husband Ryan, Jasmine Stuckey, Natalie Stuckey, Sasha Stuckey, Adam Travis Tyler and wife Mindy and Kristopher Stuckey; step grandchildren Aaron Lambert and Janelle Burskey; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother Margaret Winifred McGannon Roberts, son John S. Stuckey Jr. and form husband John S. Stuckey.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Spencer with Father Bill Ehalt officiating. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery. Calling will be from 1 p.m. to the time of service at the church.
