Alvin 'Clay' Warren

Alvin "Clay" Warren, 71, Reelsville, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at his residence.

He was born April 29, 1938 in Casey County, Ky., to Johnny and Mazie (Watson) Warren.

Mr. Warren was a 1956 graduate of Greencastle High School. He married Lisa Pittman on June 25, 1983 and she survives.

He retired in 1991 after 35 years of service at IBM. He was an avid coon hunter and golfer.

He is survived by his wife; four sons Ron Warren, Don Warren and wife Chase, Cliff Warren and wife Kristina, all of Greencastle and Mike Souders and wife Roda of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Cindy Young and husband Steve of Bainbridge and Shelli Fox and companion, Steve Gillespie of Greencastle; two sisters, Faye Cram and husband Jim of Brazil and Dottie Call and husband, George of Friendship; two brothers, A.J. Warren and Gib Warren and wife, Sheila, both of Cloverdale; 17 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, brother Johnny Mikel Warren and a granddaughter Jennifer Warren preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until time of service on Sunday.
