Born Dec. 22, 1914 in Campbellsburg, he was the son of Walter and Hattie (Osborn) Goldsberry. He was a graduate of Greencastle High School. He married Bessie (Thomas) Goldsberry in October of 1938 and she preceded him in death in August of 1999.
Mr. Goldsberry had been a farmer and worked for Farm Bureau. He had built and was the original owner and operator of the Fairway Restaurant and the Sunset Nursing Home.
Mr. Goldsberry was a master woodcarver, carving and sharing many wooden toys with children over the years. He was a contributor to the Putnam County Museum, where several of his wood works are on display and a member of the New Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers Walter, George and Thomas Goldsberry; sisters, Mildred Cassady, Marian White, Pat Waggoner and Bonnie Cagle.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with the Rev. Murray Clugston officiating. A private burial will be held.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of service Wednesday.
