New sign in Reelsville Park

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Seventeen-year-old Heath Schlatter made a new sign for the Reelsville Community Park as part of an Eagle Scout project. In addition, he built a set of steps for the Wilderness Path at the park. Schlatter said he just wanted to do something for the community. The South Putnam High School senior has been a Boy Scout since first grade. [Order this photo]

It is refreshing to see young people such as Heath get involved in their community and do something so selfless. I hope other young people will get more involved, and do such good works, it truely pays off in the long run. God bless you .
