Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Tuesday afternoon's thunderstorm took one motorist by surprise. Mitchell Hadley of Coatesville was traveling on CR 525N at 12:48 p.m., when a tree fell on top of his vehicle.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Kristin Wade of Russellville was traveling south on CR 375W at 2:37 p.m. Tuesday, when two deer entered the roadway. The second deer hit Wade's vehicle.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Kelly Delavergne, 31, Anderson, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday for petition to revoke probation.

Robbie Stanton, 34, Coatesville, was booked at 3:34 p.m. Wednesday for child molestation.

Justin Grimsley, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 2:03 a.m. Thursday for theft and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Alex Gaston, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 2:26 a.m. Thursday for possession of alcohol by a minor and theft.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 1306 S. Bloomington St. at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday for smoke detector activation. No problem was found. They were back in service at 9:39 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 435 Anderson St. at 3:50 p.m. Thursday for a lift assist with Putnam County Operation Life. They were back in service at 5 p.m.
