Local girl gets published
GREENCASTLE -- Almost Home will host a book signing from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with Sara Gretter Gorman, author of "Despite Lupus: How to Live Well with a Chronic Illness."
Gorman, a 1992 Greencastle High School graduate, was diagnosed with systemic lupus at the age of 26. She was newly married and at the high point of her career in television production and had many plans for her future -- just not lupus.
Gorman's book details her journey of learning how to deal with her chronic illness and living life, despite lupus. More information about Gorman and her book can be found at www.despitelupus.com, where she also posts blogs.
Almost Home will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to the Lupus Foundation of America -- Indianapolis Chapter. Support the cause, grab an autographed book and enjoy half-price martinis Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Almost Home.
