GHS golfers finish second in three-way

CLAYTON -- The Greencastle High School girls' golf team finished second in a three-way match with Cascade and Southmont Thursday afternoon.

Greencastle shot a combined 219 while Cascade shot a 187 and Southmont finished third, carding a 225.

Chelsea Samuels paced GHS with a 45, while Katie Hedge followed closely behind with a 47 and Diane Wokoun turned in a 55. Mackenzie St. Marie rounded out the Lady Tiger Cubs' score with a 72.

Jessica Smyth from Cascade earned the medalist honors, firing off a 41.

Greencastle is back in action on Monday with it hosts Terre Haute North at 4:30 at Windy Hills Country Club.
