Betty K. Kaley, 87, of Greencastle died on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1922 in Greencastle to Thomas and Millie Cricks Newgent.
Mrs. Kaley was a 1940 graduate of Clinton Center High School and was employed at Essex Wire in Plymouth and RCA in Indianapolis.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Reta Pearson, Gerald Stewart and wife Charlotte, Nancy Michael and husband Steve, Nelson Ford and wife Sunny, Norma Maynard, Bob Newgent and wife Lynn, Donald Newgent, John Newgent and wife Claire, Betty McKinney and husband Bob and Tommy Goddard and wife Vera; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Her parents; four brothers, Raymond Newgent, Manford Newgent, Donald Newgent and Clyde Newgent; five sisters, Mammie Goddard, Naomi Eubanks, Madonna Clodfelter, Frances Stewart and Josephine Ford; and husband, Ermil Leroy "Skip" Kaley preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kelzo "Buck" Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
