Rhoda M. Salyers

Rhoda M. Salyers, 62, of Greencastle died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.

Born March 27, 1947 in Crab Orchard, Ky., she was the daughter of Charles and Lucy Merida Hendrickson. She married Donald V. Salyers on November 11, 1966, and he survives.

Mrs. Salyers had been a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Donald V. Salyers; four children, Rex Salyers of Noblesville, John Charles Salyers of Bainbridge, Donald G. Salyers and wife Adelma of Greenville and Rhoda Melissa Adam of Bainbridge; five brothers, Ed Hendrickson, Nevil Hendrickson, Bobby Hendrickson, Larry Hendrickson and Lonny Hendrickson; a sister, Brenda Coda; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Andrew Hendrickson and Hubert Hendrickson; and two sisters, Jewel Marksberry and Martha Hendrickson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
