Robe-Ann Park hosts Family Movie Night

GREENCASTLE -- The inaugural Family Movie Night will be coming to Robe-Ann Park Sept. 19 at dusk.

A 26-foot inflatable screen will be set up in the softball diamond at the park.

The movie will be Walt Disney's "Race to Witch Mountain," which tells the story of a Las Vegas cabbie who enlists the help of a UFO expert to protect two siblings with paranormal powers from the clutches of an organization wanting to use the kids for their nefarious plans. It is rated PG for sequence of action and violence, frightening and dangerous situations and some thematic elements, according to www.amazon.com

There will not be an entrance fee to the movie, but barrels will be available for donations of school supplies. Hot dogs, popcorn and beverages will be served at no cost. Any monetary donations from the food items will be distributed to the Youth Development Commission of Putnam County to purchase school supplies for local students in need.

Families can bring their own picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs to the event.
