Thomas Wayne Brothers, 87, of Greencastle died on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1921 in Clinton Falls to Edward and Bertha Sigler Brothers. A graduate of Bainbridge High School, he served his country in the US Army during World War II.

Mr. Brothers had worked for the Monon Railroad, Putnam County Highway Department, and was a farmer, his passion in life.

His parents, and siblings Verna Garl, James Brothers, Dorothy Singer, Betty Koch and Jean Stoner preceded him in death.

Surviving are his nieces, Sueanne Moreland of Indianapolis, Rebecca Null and husband Frank of Greencastle; nephews, Morris Coffman and wife Sally of Greencastle and Gary Coffman of Greencastle; and close friends, Jake and Devonna Fogle and family of Greencastle and Grace Poynter of Greencastle.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial with honors will follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery. Calling will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
