This annual event brings together health-related vendors and senior citizens and provides flu and pneumonia shots. Individuals with Medicare Part B as their primary insurance must bring their card to get a shot at no cost. For others, the cost is $25 for flu shots and $40 for pneumonia shots.
Francie Bond and Jesse Perdue and his band featuring Bobby Johnston on the fiddle are on the entertainment venue for the day. Bingo will start at noon.
Four cash prizes will be given out this year. A $100, $50 and two $25 prizes will be awarded along with door prizes from each sponsor.
Ham and beans with cornbread and Peyton's Barbeque will be served.
The Senior Health Fair is sponsored in part by Summerfield Health Care Center. Booth spots for health-related vendors are still available for $150 and $200 sponsorships. Electricity, one table and two chairs are included.
