Greencastle boys compete at Bloomington Invite

BLOOMINGTON -- The Greencastle boys' cross country team competed at the Bloomington Invite Saturday. In the freshman and sophomore division, the Tiger Cubs won with 47 points, while four GHS runners in the junior and senior division made strong showings.

Ryan Stevens led the GHS freshman and sophomore squad with a second place finish in a time of 17:55. Tyler Hudson made the Top 10 with an eighth place finish with the time of 18:35. Hunter Mitchell and Brad Haussin ran identical times and placed 14th and 15th respectively.

Dustin Law ended the day with a 29th place finish in 20:30, Trevor Huber was 33rd in 21:35 and Paul Bryan was 37th with a time of 22 minutes flat.

Ryan Gillespie was Greencastle's top finisher in the junior and senior division with a fifth place finish in 18:26.9. Tyler Lewis placed 10th overall with a time of 19:50.7, while Travis Barger was 25th in a time of 22:20.2 and Jack Dozier was 33rd with a time of 25:13.3

The Tiger Cubs will host the Tiger Cub Mini-Invitational next Thursday at 5 p.m.
