Putnam County Sheriff's Department

George Templeton of Roachdale was traveling south on CR 250E at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday when his vehicle struck a deer. The deer was not located after the accident. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages. His vehicle was not towed.

Putnam County Jail

Kris Austin, 32, Cloverdale, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday for failure to appear.

John Marsee, 47, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 1:03 a.m. Wednesday for battery with bodily injury and intimidation.

Matthew Samuels, 29, Terre Haute, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 11:17 a.m. Wednesday for burglary and mischief.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 3139 S CR 500E at 7:54 p.m. on Tuesday to assist officers. They were back in service at 1:15 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1014 Mill Pond Lane at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday, but they were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 8:45 a.m.
