Lloyd 'Bode' Bodoh

Lloyd "Bode" Bodoh, 87, of Greencastle, formerly of Rockford, Ill., died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, in his home after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Born Sept. 17, 1922, in New London, Wis., the son of Jim and Louise Van Vorst Bodoh.

Mr. Bodoh served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; and married Dorothy Pfeiffer in 1944 in Pensacola, Fla. He worked as chief photographer at Barber Coleman from 1941 to 1956; and as owner/operator of Graphic Arts Photography from 1956 until he retired in 1980.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dottie" of Greencastle; son, Bernie (Bridget) Bodoh of Gold Canyon, Ariz; daughter, Jan (Jim) Carroll of Heltonville; grandchildren, Brentt Bodoh (Kelley) of Sun Prairie, Wis., Bart Bodoh (Chris) of Mountain, Wis., Matt Hertenstein (Margo) of Greencastle; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathleen Bodoh of New London; and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents and brothers, Jim and Leon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd., Rockford, Ill. Private burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the service in church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vistacare Hospice, 3401 S. 4th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47802.
