Ralph E. Delp

Ralph E. Delp, 85, Cloverdale, died on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at the Richard L. Roudebush Medical Center in Indianapolis.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1924 in Vermillion County, Ill., and was the son of the late William Vernon and Ida Crisp Delp. He married Gracie Juanita Jaynes on Dec. 1, 1952, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 8, 1998.

Mr. Delp was a farmer, excavator and had been employed by the Putnam County Highway Department.

He is survived by his children, Anna Marie Delp of Brazil, Christine Ann Delp of Cloverdale, Jeanette Tiedemann and husband Dennis of Cloverdale, Janie Evelyn Kolesar and husband Joe of Brazil, David Lee Delp of Spencer, Chancey Edward Delp of Cloverdale, Mark Criss Delp of Cloverdale and Paul Robert Delp of Cloverdale; his brother, William Howard Delp of Wenatchee, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Cloverdale Cemetery. Calling will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.
