Music of the decade

With the end of the decade approaching, I've been doing a lot of thinking about the music of the last 10 years. What music will define the '00s?

To organize my thinking, I've decided to look at it by year. Starting with 2000, I will be naming my favorite album of each year, or at least the most interesting one.

We will be featuring an article on each year's album on our entertainment page at www.bannergraphic.com/entertainment in the coming weeks. While the essays for 2000-2008 will be available only online, it will be leading up to my top 10 albums of 2009, to be named at the first of the year.
