Donation to food pantry

Wednesday, December 2, 2009
Chief's Restaurant manager Indy New and owner Steve Gaebes were busy recently packing food items donated from a Thanksgiving Eve fundraiser for the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry. Judy Miller, president of the pantry, was at the restaurant to pick up items early this week. Miller says the organization served 1,100 plus during November. "We have many more people coming to the food pantry that have never been there before. One can (item) helps. That is one we don't have to buy," said Miller.
