ROCKVILLE -- The North Putnam girls' basketball team lost to Rockville Thursday 60-51.

Megan Robinson led the Cougars with 20 points, followed by Carlye McGaughey with 13. Dakota Malayer scored seven points, while Mackensy Asbell added five and LeeAnn Davis and Shelby Frye chipped in three points each.

North Putnam held a 32-20 lead at the half, but a 26-point third quarter put the Rox in front for good.

Head coach Jim Brothers commented that the rockville shots that didn't fall in the first half, began to drop in the second. He also noted the team basically played two very different halves of basketball and needs to put together a complete four quarters to be successful.

North Putnam will travel to Tri-West on Tuesday, with the varsity tipping at 7:30 p.m.
