Putnam County Jail

Melissa York, 41, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday for operating a motor vehicle and never receiving a license.

Dale Huber, 58, Greencastle, was booked at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday for theft.

Joseph Copeland, 23, Spencer, was booked at 7:43 p.m. Wednesday for failure to appear.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Porschia Williams of Russellville was traveling south on CR 250E near Roachdale at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, when she was unable to stop for a slowed vehicle due to icy road conditions. Williams swerved to the left and struck a fence and fence post.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed her vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Jonathan Reed of Bainbridge pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Cynthia Montoya of Chicago. The accident occurred at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday on US 36W near Bainbridge.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed Montoya's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Rebecca Holme of Schererville was traveling down Water Works Hill on US 231N at 2:32 p.m. Nov. 29, when she lost control of her vehicle due to slick road conditions, causing her vehicle to strike a guardrail.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Taylor Jacks of Granger was traveling south down Water Works Hill on US 231N at 7:06 p.m. Nov. 29, when he lost control of his vehicle due to slick road conditions, causing his vehicle to spin 180 degrees and come to rest against a guardrail.

Jacks was not injured in the accident. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Jill Paetow of Fillmore was traveling on CR 600E near Groveland at 7:46 p.m. Nov. 29, when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree head on. She was not injured in the crash.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed her vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Casey McManemy of Wildwood, Mo., was traveling on US 231N near Brick Chapel at 9:42 p.m. Nov. 29, when she hit her brakes to make a turn into a driveway, causing a vehicle driven by Madeline Gibbs of O'Fallon, Ill., to hit the back of her vehicle.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Timothy Jones of Ladoga was traveling on SR 236E near Roachdale at 5:29 p.m. Monday, when a deer hit the side of his vehicle. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Jared Inman of Arcadia was traveling west on US 36 near Morton at 6:40 p.m. Monday, when his vehicle began to slide on the icy roadway into oncoming traffic and strike a vehicle driven by Chris Snyder of Rockville, which was traveling eastbound.

Ron's Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 503 S. Jackson St. at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday for a fire alarm due to cooking. They were back in service at 6:54 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 109 W. Hanna St. at 6:06 p.m. Wednesday, but were disregarded en route. They were back in service at 6:10 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 36 Sunset Drive at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday for a carbon monoxide investigation. They were back in service at 9:26 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 104 E. Liberty St. at 11:44 a.m. Thursday for a single-vehicle accident. They were back in service 12:12 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1024 E CR 25S at 12:29 p.m. Thursday, but were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 12:31 p.m.
