Topping off the day was her team win. Felton skates with the Indianapolis Skating Club of Indiana, which placed first with 203 points over everyone skating that day.
She also came out of the day with an additional skating coach.
"There is a 1988 Olympic Athlete International Figure skater who has asked to coach Taylor," said Felton's mother Treva Price. "Kim Seybold approached me and asked if we would consider letting her coach Taylor. She and her brother skated in the 1988 Olympics."
Felton's dream is to eventually skate at the Olympics.
She spends at least two weekends every month skating at the Carmel Ice Skadium.
"She only gets to skate every other weekend so we think it's even more impressive that she is doing so well," said Price.
Last year she placed first and gold in the Tony Todd Invitational. Earlier this year she won two silvers and a bronze in competitions.
The Banner Graphic has been following Felton, 12, since last year when she first competed in the Tony Todd Invitational.
She has only been skating for a little over two years.
"She just becomes a completely different person when she skates. She is totally focused," Price said.
Felton will be heading to Memphis next fall to skate in regional competition.
