Greencastle Police Department

Justin Grimsley, 18, Greencastle, was stopped on E. Washington Street at 10:45 p.m. Dec. 22, 2009 and was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Esteban Ramirez, 24, Greencastle, was stopped on Franklin Street at 11:34 p.m. Dec. 27, 2009 and cited for failure to possess a driver's license.

Chad Simpson, 21, Fort Wayne, was stopped on Bloomington Street at 6:58 p.m. Dec. 31, 2009 and cited for speeding -- 47 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Andra Ryan, 21, Greencastle, was stopped on US 231N at 12:48 a.m. Jan. 2 and cited for driving with a suspended license.

Roger Brickert, 42, Coatesville, was stopped on Bloomington Street at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 4 and cited for false or fictitious registration.

Chris Leininger, 46, Reelsville, was stopped on Veteran's Memorial Highway at 5:02 p.m. Jan. 5 and cited for speeding -- 55 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Travis Tharp, 32, Greencastle, was stopped on Franklin Street at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 8 and cited for a license plate, which expired April 21, 2009.

The following accidents have been reported by the Greencastle Police Department:

Kenneth Masten of Greencastle was traveling north on Bloomington Street at 4:12 p.m. Dec. 27, 2009, when the back of his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Jennifer Heath of Lafayette due to snow and ice on the roads.

Seniours' Wrecker Service towed Heath's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Laura Mead of Greencastle was traveling west on Liberty Street at 8:25 p.m. Dec. 27, 2009, when a vehicle driven by Jerry Clark of Greencastle entered her lane of traffic causing a head-on collision at a low-rate of speed.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Gregory Chestnut of Greencastle was traveling west on Walnut Street at 2:25 p.m. Dec. 29, 2009, when he attempted to cross the intersection at Jackson Street and collided with a vehicle driven by Melody Dayhuff of Clay City. Dayhuff was traveling north on Jackson Street at the time of the collision.

JD Towing towed Chestnut's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Joshua L. Bollman of Bainbridge was traveling south on Jackson Street at 12:42 p.m. Dec. 30, 2009, when he collided with the back of a vehicle driven by Hank Grimes of Greencastle, which was stopped for a vehicle making a turn onto Columbia Street.

Grimes' vehicle then collided with the back of a vehicle driven by Jeffrey D. Games of Greencastle, who was also waiting for the vehicle to make a turn onto Columbia Street.

Grimes was transported to Putnam County Hospital with severe head pain and lacerations to the head. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Grimes' vehicle from the scene.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Lula Stamps of Poland was backing out of a parking space in the lot at Walmart, 1750 Indianapolis Road, when her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Sarah Thomas of Bainbridge.

The collision occurred at 7:05 p.m. Jan. 1. There was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Mary Liebert of Greencastle was traveling east on Avenue B at 4 p.m. Jan. 4, when her vehicle collided with a vehicle traveling south on 5th Street driven by Timothy Duggan of Greencastle.

A passenger in Duggan's vehicle was transported to Putnam County Hospital with complaints of neck pain. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Mary Andrews of Poland was traveling north on Bloomington Street at 4 p.m. Jan. 5, when she attempted to make a right turn into Swifty Gas Station parking lot and a vehicle driven by Terry Maynard of Greencastle struck her vehicle.

Maynard, who was behind Andrews' vehicle, stated she was signaling for a left turn and he attempted to pass her vehicle when she made the right turn.

Following the initial collision, Andrews' vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Joanna Parman of Greencastle, who was waiting to exit the station's parking lot.

Maynard and Parman were cited for operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility. An unknown towing service towed Andrews' vehicle. Seniours' Wrecker Service towed Parman's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.
