COATESVILLE -- A fundraising event for Hope Haven Horse Farm Inc., Coatesville, is set for Jan. 30.

Bowling for Hope, a bowl-a-thon and silent auction, will take place at Brownsburg Bowl, 18 Whittington Drive, Brownsburg, from 1 to 3 p.m. Registration will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Hope Haven, which provides equine-based programs for special needs and at-risk residents of Putnam and Hendricks counties and the surrounding areas.

Programs offered at Hope Haven include therapeutic riding lessons, Special Olympics equestrian training and EAGALA Therapeutic Counseling.

Teams of six individuals will bowl, and are asked to raise a minimum of $30 in pledges or donations per bowler. Bowlers can form teams and register together, or an individual can register and be assigned to a team.

Ramp bowling will be available.

Registration is $25 per bowler and includes two hours of bowling, shoe rental, a pizza buffet and unlimited pitchers of soft drinks.

Non-bowlers may visit the pizza buffet for $6.

Bowlers' sponsor checks are due the day of the event. All checks should be made payable to Hope Haven Horse Farm.

Local businesses and organizations are being asked to donate items to be used for door prizes and the silent auction. There will be horse-related, sports-related and lots of other items available. Attendees do not have to bowl in order to participate in other activities.
