Thomas I. Bixler Jr.

Thomas I. Bixler Jr., 51, of Spencer died on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010 at his residence.

He was born Jan. 26, 1958 in Putnam County, the son of the late Thomas I. and Reba Ann Orr Bixler.

Mr. Bixler was a contractor and owned and operated B & C Construction. He enjoyed racing his modified race cars.

He is survived by his children NaTasha Coffey and fiancé Gary J. Burns Jr. of Gosport, Thomas I. Bixler III of Quincy and Robert Thomas Brown and wife LeeAnn of Shelbyville, Tenn.; sisters Kathy Ward of Lebanon, Penny White of Hillsboro, Angie Land and husband Damion of Tiffin, Ohio and Tonia Bixler of Quincy; brothers David Bixler and wife Sindi of Lebanon and Bennie Baker and wife Teresa of Waterloo, Iowa; grandchildren Issacc and Conner Brown of Shelbyville, Tenn. and Gary J. Burns III of Gosport; stepmother Uylanda Bixler of Quincy; and companion Terri Brook of Spencer.

His parents Thomas I. Bixler and Reba Ann Bixler Hart and daughter Tara Darlene Bixler preceded him in death.

Calling will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Private burial services will be held at the Combes Cemetery.
