Putnam County Jail

James A. Stewart, 19, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 4:03 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana.

Levi W. Runnells, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 4:32 p.m. Thursday for violation of home detention.

Jesse P. Polston, 36, Spencer, was booked at 10:16 a.m. Friday for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

At 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jessica L. Human of Coatesville was traveling on US 36 near Groveland when she slowed for a turn and a vehicle driven by Valerie C. Preecs of Coatesville struck the back of her vehicle.

Preecs was unable to stop her car in time to avoid a collision due to the snow and ice-covered roadway. Emergency service personnel checked Human due to complaints of neck pain. She was not transported to the hospital.

Neither vehicle was towed. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 1501 Hospital Drive at 7:02 p.m. Thursday for a medical assist. They were back in service at 7:46 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to CR 100E at 7:05 a.m. Friday for a motor vehicle accident.

Greencastle Police Department

The following tickets have been issued by Greencastle Police Department:

David Sams, 28, Greencastle, was stopped on Woodhaven Drive at 8:10 a.m. Jan. 15 and cited for displaying incorrect or false registration plate.

Latasha O'Conner, 21, Greencastle, was stopped on Jackson Street at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 18 and cited for passenger seatbelt violation.

Michele Grimsley, 20, Greencastle, was stopped at 6:52 p.m. Jan. 18 on W. Franklin Street and cited for driving a vehicle with a suspended license.

Milton Sanchez, 59, Birdsboro, Pa., was stopped on Bloomington Street at 7:13 p.m. Jan. 18 and cited for speeding -- 45 mph in a 30 mph zone.

John Holt, 42, Stilesville, was stopped on Indianapolis Road at 6:18 p.m. Jan. 19 and cited for speeding -- 48 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Mark Butler, 54, Harmony, was stopped on Indianapolis Road at 7:03 p.m. Jan. 19 and cited for disregarding a traffic light.

Evan Jones, 24, Greencastle, was stopped on N. Jackson Street at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 19 and cited for a child restraint violation.

Leonidas Pitchford, 26, Greencastle, was stopped at East and South streets at 11:35 p.m. Jan. 20 and cited for driving a vehicle with a suspended license.

Thomas E. Schultheis, 43, Cloverdale, was stopped at Veteran's Memorial Highway and Tennessee Street at 12:59 p.m. Jan. 24 and cited for driving with a suspended license.

Adam Brackin, 28, Greencastle, was stopped on Veteran's Memorial Highway at 5:08 p.m. Jan. 24 and cited for false or fictitious registration.

Ryan M. Meyer, 25, Greencastle, was stopped at N. College Avenue and Columbia Street at 12:34 a.m. Friday and cited for driving a vehicle with a suspended license.

The three following motor vehicle accidents have been reported by GPD:

Kimberlyn Fenwick, 16, Greencastle, was attempting to proceed through the intersection of Franklin Street and College Avenue, when a vehicle driven by Vickie Kallner, 56, Greencastle, struck her vehicle.

Kallner lost control of her vehicle before coming to rest in the grass at 7 N. College Ave. Both drivers were examined at the scene and refused to have an ambulance transport them to the hospital. The accident occurred at 4:11 p.m. Wednesday.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed Fenwick's vehicle; Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Kallner's vehicle.

Stephanie Crank, 40, Greencastle, was stopped at the intersection of S. Jackson Street and Veteran's Memorial Highway when a vehicle driven by Joshua Chaney, 17, Greencastle, struck the back of her vehicle.

The accident occurred at 3:43 pm. Jan. 14. Crank was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and false or fictitious registration.
