Janet M. Sides Arner

Janet M. Sides Arner, 82, Greencastle, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis.

She was born Oct. 2, 1927 in Highspire, Pa. daughter of Walter and Susan Yeager Sides.

Mrs. Arner was a homemaker and a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. She had been active in Habitat for Humanity.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Arner; one brother; and two sisters.

She is survived by sons, Tom Arner of Vermont and Gary Arner of Tennessee; daughters, Gail Rohleder of Indiana, Wendy Bowmar of Michigan, Lynn Arner of California and Patty Johnston of Iowa; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at The Greencastle Presbyterian Church, 653 Round Barn Road with the Revs. Wes Kendall and Susan Arner officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greencastle Presbyterian Church, PO Box 512, Greencastle, IN 46135, to be used for the orphans in Haiti.
