More flu clinics to come

GREENCASTLE -- The Putnam County Health Department, in partnership with the Putnam County Hospital, will conduct H1N1 flu vaccine clinics from 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 11 and 18 at the heath department, 209 W. Liberty St.

Both the H1N1 "nasal mist" vaccine and the H1N1 "shot" vaccine will be available during the clinics. Walk-ins are welcome. Call the Putnam County Health Department at 653-5210 to schedule an appointment or for any questions.

The Putnam County Health Department would like to remind parents of children under the age of 9 years who have received their initial H1N1 vaccination, a second dose is required in order for the vaccine to be fully effective.

Anyone who cannot attend the clinics and would like to get an H1N1 vaccine, make an appointment Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Putnam County Health Department or by calling 653-5210.
