Barbara L. Bernsee

Barbara L. Bernsee, 84, Mission Viejo, Calif., died early Thursday morning at Parkview Terrace in Rancho San Margarita, Calif.

She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Belle (Rhoades) Grassman and was a longtime resident of the Chicago suburbs of Maywood and Broadview before moving to California.

Survivors include a son, Eric Bernsee and wife Ruth, Greencastle; a daughter, Jennifer Meyer and husband Ken, Mission Viejo; seven grandchildren, Kara Bernsee, St. Louis, Nicole Bullard, North Vernon, Chelsea and Scott Bush, California, Emily Lowe, Chicago, Sam Lowe, Bloomington, and Jennifer Belotte, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Bernsee, and a daughter, Gaylee Rene.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date in California.
