Dell Pursell Hale, 69, of Fillmore passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at the Putnam County Hospital.
Born March 23, 1940 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Donald and Jane (Kemper) Berry. She was a graduate of Van Buren High School with the class of 1958 in Brazil.
She married Thomas J. "Tom" Hale on June 23, 2004 and he survives.
Dell had been a food service worker at various locations. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greencastle.
Survivors include her husband; children, Chris Pursell and wife, Debbie of Irvine, Calif., Jeff Pursell and wife, Angie of Brazil, Tracy Pursell and wife, Mykee of Greenwood and Wendy Richardson and husband, Curt of Fillmore; stepchildren, Tammy Hinote and husband, Steve of Veedersburg, Scott Hale and wife, Andrea of Carmel, Jeff Hale and wife, Mandy of Lafayette and Kim Molter of Boswell; three sisters, Kathryn Girton of Brazil, Nancy McCooley of Hammond, and Ona Cuthberson of Rosedale; two brothers, Sherman Berry and Raymond Berry, both of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Pete Berry; and a granddaughter, Emily Anne Pursell.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, 404 Judson Court, Greencastle, with the burial to follow at the Fillmore Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 1:30 pm until time of service.
