Roberta Batman

Roberta Mae Batman, 81, of Roachdale died at Hickory Creek at Crawfordsville on Monday at 5:45 a.m.

She was born on Dec. 27, 1928 to Bernard Ross and Thelma Elizabeth Chiles Stadler.

She was a member of Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene, Young at Heart Club at the Church, Ladoga Senior Citizens Club. She had served as organist at the former Ladoga Nazarene Church and also played the organ for many years at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home.

She married Thomas W. Batman on June 10, 1950 at Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1996.

Survivors include a daughter-In-law Bonnie Batman of New Ross; grandson Brad Batman of New Ross and a great-grandson Jonathon Caine Batman of New Ross.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a son Edwin LeRoy Batman, brother Ross Eldon Stadler, and stepmother Ruth Stadler.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene at the corner of U.S. 234 and U.S. 231. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The Rev. Mark Roberts will officiate.

Burial will be at Ladoga Cemetery.
