Habitat annual meeting to be held Saturday

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

The Putnam County Habitat for Humanity annual meeting is set for March 13 at 9 a.m. at the Bainbridge Community Center.

Breakfast will be served and the volunteers from 2009 will be acknowledged. Plans for the next Habitat house in Bainbridge will be announced.

The group is actively looking for volunteers and committee members.

The 2010 Board Members will be present to meet and greet. Applications for a new family for the next build are being taken.

Anyone interested in becoming a homeowner, volunteers from last year, skilled and unskilled laborers or those interested in learning more about Habitat and possibly joining the organization is invited to the breakfast.

There will be a formal presentation at 9:30.

Questions may be directed to Ron Price 720-9160, Chris Scott at 246-1067 or the Habitat office 653-5360.

I wonder if they will be honoring all the volunteers of 2009 or just the ones they choose? I myself put in many hours of volunteering for habitat in 2009.The first I new anything about this was when I heard about it from a neighbor. Then lets see there was the Putnam Co. Jail crew that did alot on the new build in Roachdale last year. r.

Hmm...I wonder if they plan on finishing their last few builds before they start a new one. I have seen a few PCH homes and none of them were finished properly. I think this organization needs some close monitoring. I personally believe it to be a great organization with good intentions, with corrupt leaders!

In respose to the personal invite, it is a little to to late. The event was on 3/13/2010,and you posted your invite on 3/15/2010. That's ok, I just want to say my volunteering for PCHH did not go unnoticed. God knows I did it. And that is all that counts. I don't need to go to a volunteer breakfast to have my works noticed.I wish Putnam County Habitat the best . THey are always in our prayers.By the way thaturopion is another homeower. That isn't real happy. God Bless!
